IDA to get a new office in Sector 18

NOIDA: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to soon hire a consultant to design and assist in the construction of its central office in Sector 18 and four zonal offices across the designated sectors, with an estimated

 expenditure of about Rs 1,000 crore.

At present, the Yamuna Authority’s main office is being operated from a rented building in Greater Noida. Officials said the Authority will shift its main office from Omega to the proposed central office in Sector 18 to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. The estimated cost of the four-storey central office, spanning over 2.3 lakh sqft is Rs 398 crore.

The zonal offices to be constructed in sectors 22D, 28, 22E and 17 will be two-storey each covering 86,000 sqft. It is projected to incur a cost of approximately Rs 142 crore. The zonal offices will address the concerns of entrepreneurs, allottees, and farmers in their respective areas, while the central office will provide overall support.
Allocation of work in these offices will be based on the type of allottees residing in different sectors. For example, the zonal office near residential colonies will focus on addressing the needs of homebuyers, while others will cater to industrial allottees.

Deputy general managers and their staff will be stationed at the zonal offices to resolve issues raised by allottees. Cases that remain unresolved at the zonal level will be escalated to the headquarters for further action.
YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh confirmed that the search for an agency will commence soon. “A Request for Proposal (RFP) has already been prepared, and its in-principle approval has been obtained,” Singh added.

Additionally, the office of Noida International Airport Limited (NAIL), the government's special purpose vehicle for the Noida International Airport project, will be established within airport premises in Jewar. The specific location is currently being identified, and NAIL officers and employees will operate from this office.
